The Invitation
Resonant Roots is a unique combination of Breath, Voice & Gongs. Together, we create a “whole-person” sanctuary—a space where contemporary insight meets the ancient, restorative power of sound. This half-day workshop is designed to help you shift stored stress, soothe your nervous system, and rediscover a sense of internal safety. When it comes to the gongs, I mainly use high quality Pastie Gongs.
The Experience
The journey is carefully sequenced to lead you from the “thinking mind” into a state of deep rest.
Cultivating Connection
We begin by grounding ourselves as a group, establishing a kind and confidential space. Through gentle introductions, we acknowledge what has brought us to the mat.
Somatic Awakening & The Vagus Nerve
Using the tools of and breath-work and human sound we move into active nervous system regulation.
The Deep Immersion: Gong Bath
Once the body is “tuned” and the mind is quiet, we transition into a deep Gong Bath. As you lie in comfortable stillness, the complex frequencies of the gongs wash over you. This external resonance works in harmony with the internal work we have done, helping to clear mental clutter and facilitate a profound state of meditative rest.
Integration
We conclude with a “soft landing”—a gentle return to the circle to integrate the experience, share reflections, and prepare to carry this new found calm back into your daily life.
About Your Facilitator
A Kind & Holistic Approach I offer a unique bridge between talking and feeling, between the internal voice and the external sound.
- As a Psychotherapist, I provide the grounding and emotional safety required for deep inquiry, ensuring our space is trauma-informed and supportive.
- As a Sound Practitioner, I provide the vibrational landscape, using the science of frequency to reach the parts of the self that words cannot always touch.
Ready to find your resonance?
Spaces are kept limited to ensure a small, intimate, and supportive group environment. We would love to welcome you into this kind and restorative space.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience with meditation or sound baths?
Not at all. This workshop is designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Our approach is gentle and guided; you simply need to bring yourself as you are.
Do I have to be a singer?
Not at all. This is about vibration, not melody. We use the voice as a simple tool to “massage” the nervous system from the inside out. There is no pressure to “sound good”—your voice simply blends into the collective hum of the group.
What is a Gong Bath, and what does it feel like?
A Gong Bath is a form of deep relaxation where you lie down, fully clothed, and “bathe” in the harmonic frequencies of the gongs. You may feel a physical vibration in the body, see colours or images in your mind’s eye, or simply drift into a state between waking and sleep, its always different for everyone and there is no wrong way to experience it.
How does the psychotherapy element work in a group?
The psychotherapeutic element is focused on somatic safety and compassionate inquiry. While there is an opportunity to share during our introductions and closing circle, there is never any pressure to disclose more than you feel comfortable with. Daniel ensures the environment remains trauma-informed and emotionally supportive for all.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing (layers are best as your body temperature may drop during the deep relaxation). We recommend bringing a water bottle.
Is there a break?
There will be a 15-20 min break between the breath/voice work and the Gong Bath. there will be herbal teas and you may wish to bring a small snack
Is this safe for everyone?
Sound therapy is generally very safe, but not if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, have a pacemaker, or suffer from sound-induced epilepsy. Please feel free to reach out to us privately if you have specific health concerns.
